Fall Preschool Field Trip Ideas!

This is the time of the year to get out of the classroom and take teaching on the road.  There are several staple Preschool field trip ideas in Tampa, but this time of year outside exploration is at its best!  Listed below are 8 great suggestions for class field trips this fall.  These trips are appropriate for preschool and elementary children, but they can be easily enjoyed by all ages.

Corn is everywhere!  Corn maze, corn pit, kettle corn and roasted corn.  This is the place to visit to celebrate corn and many other fall festivities.  Once you finish navigating through the maze take a hayride and pick a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch.  You will not go hungry with food choices such as bbq, hot dogs, cakes, pies, boiled peanuts, shaved ice, honey and more.  Plus, there are booths with pumpkin painting, crafts, balloon artist, antiques and jewelry.  Everyone will make lots of memories and have a lot of fun along the way!

Plus, there are scheduled events to watch the  Zoo’s animals have a smashing good time with pumpkins.  This is a field trip teachers and students will be talking about!

Skippy Jon Jones at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts

Skippy Jon Jones at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts

Author Judy Schachner’s book Skippyjon Jones is being featured in a musical at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.  Beloved children’s book hero Skippyjon Jones is a Siamese cat who thinks he’s a Mexican Chihuahua. In this brand new musical, Skippyjon morphs into his alter ego Skippito Friskito to rescue the beautiful princess Nieve Que (Snow What) with the help of his amigos, the Seven Chimichangos. This delightful fairy tale based on the book by Judy Schachner takes a funny, furry spin on the classic Snow White story.  Every student and teacher would enjoy a fieldtrip to see what one their favorite characters, Skippyjon, is doing now.
